Abstract
PURPOSE:To perform copying of multiple sheets of good quality with simple processes by performing prescribed corona charging and the like by using a photoreceptor laminated with photoconductive layers, one of which is made conductive by irradiation of specific color and the other has rectifying effect between the same and a conductive base. CONSTITUTION:The 1st photoconductive layer 1B which is laminated on a conductive base 1A of a photoreceptor 1 and has rectifying characteristic with the base 1A is laminated thereon with the 2nd photoconductive layer 1C which is made conductive by the exposure of the specific light which does not conduct the layer 1B. If the photoreceptor 1 is charged to the same polarity as said rectifying characteristic by a charger 2, and is exposed by specific color light LA, the layer 1C is made conductive and the layer 1B is charged. Thence, when it is exposed with images, the surface potential in the area of the photoreceptor 1 opposing to the white part W of an original 0 disappears and the latent image of the black part N is formed by the electric charge distributed in the boundary surface area of the layers 1B, 1C. Hence, no latent image charge leaks and the latent image stabilizes for a long period. Further, if the photoreceptor 1 is bujected to prescribed AC corona charging, the latent image is restored, and the copying of multiple sheets of good quality is accomplished with the simple processes.
