Abstract
PURPOSE:The find an exhaustness of a photosensitive body by detecting an electric potential difference between a higher potential domain and a lower potential domain by use of a surface electrometer. CONSTITUTION:Two surface electrometers are disposed near the surface of a photosensitive drum 3 in front of a developing device 13 in order to detecting each one of surface potential of pattern latent images 22, 23. And, each one of the voltages of the pattern lat end images 22, 23 is detected by use of a surface electrometer 25 detecting a potential of a pattern latent image of a tint reference pattern 19. On this pattern latent image, its potential changes corresponding to a fatigue level of the photoreceptor of the drum 3 even if the others are in the same conditions.
