CONSTITUTION:Electrostatic latent images are formed on a photosensitive drum 47 by a primary charger 51, secondary destaticizer 69, full surface exposure lamp 68, blank exposure lamp 70, etc. At this time, a surface electrometer 67 is provided between the lamp 68 and developing device 65. First, the lamp 70 is lighted and the bright part potential is detected with the electrometer 67. Thence, the lamp 70 is put out and the dark part portential is detected. These are stored in circuits 112 and 111 respectively.
