Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain the image forming device which is capable of maintaing contrast constant even against temperature change and aging by obtaining the output of the difference of the surface potentials of the bright part and dark part on a recording body and controlling charging outputs thereby performing the correction of the surface potentials. CONSTITUTION:Electrostatic latent images are formed on a photosensitive drum 47 by a primary charger 51, secondary destaticizer 69 and full surface exposure lamp 68. At this time, a surface electrometer 67 is provided between the exposure lamp 68 and developing roller 65. The potentials of the dark part and bright part of the latent images are measured and are converted to DC signals by a potential sensor and measuring circuit 107. The detection outputs are inputted to an arithmetic circuit 114, and the correction values are obtained by the specified operation formula. These are then inputted to an integrating circuit 119 where they are subjected to comparative computation with the current values having been stored. The primary charger 51, secondary destaticizer 69 and developing device 65 are controlled by these correction outputs. Thereby, the contrast may be maintained constant even if the potential characteristics of the recording body vary.
