Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve thermal efficiency of an engine, by fully or partially heating liquid fuel with exhaust gas and directly introducing gasified fuel to a combustion chamber through a route provided independently of an intake air passage. CONSTITUTION:A gasified fuel introducing hole 3 is provided in a part of the combustion chamber wall in an engine 1, and an introducing valve 4 is provided to an opening of said introducing hole 3 to a combustion chamber 2. While a fuel gasifying device 8, having a liquid fuel gasifying chamber in its inside surrounded by a heat exchanger wall 7, is provided on the way of an exhaust gas passage 6. Liquid fuel is forcibly fed by a fuel pump 9 to said fuel gasifying chamber, here gasified and guided to the introducing hole 3 through a conduction pipe 5, then the introducing valve 4 is opened by means of cam, oil hydraulic pressure etc. in accordance with speed, load, etc. of the engine 1, thus the gasified fuel is fed to the combustion chamber 2, mixed with intake air from an air passage 10 and performed combustion.
