Abstract

PURPOSE:To refill turbine bearing lubricating oil smoothly by setting a turbo- charger above an engine. CONSTITUTION:An exhaust turbine 17 the major element of a turbo-charger T is installed in a dummy-tank-type duct 16 that is above an engine 21. An inter cooler 18 is put in the back of the exhaust turbine 17. Exhaust gas produced in the engine 21 is passed through an exhaust manifold 22 bent and extending from the engine 21, supplied for the exhaust turbine 17, to turn, and then fed out into atmosphere through a muffler 25. As the turbo-charger T is put above the engine 21, the exit of an exhaust bypass valve 23 is directly connected with a muffler 25, which provides simple piping and smooth refilling of turbine bearing lubricating oil. Oil can be prevented from leaking out from the turbine 17 and an oil seal in a compressor which is driven by the turbine.
