Abstract

PURPOSE: To install a supercharger on a motor cycle without impairing its outer appearance and imposing any restrictions on the layout or disposition of existing parts of the motor cycle, by mounting a head portion of the engine on the vehicle frame in a forward-tilting manner, and disposing a supercharger in the dead space formed at the front of the engine.
CONSTITUTION: A head portion Eh of a multi-cylinder engine E mounted on a frame F of the vehicle body consists of a cylinder block and a cylinder head and is mounted on the frame F in a forward-tilting manner. A supercharger S is disposed in a dead space formed at the front of the engine E. A down-tube (d) extended downward from a head pipe (h) of the frame F is passed vertically in front of the supercharger S for protecting the front face of the same. Further, a resonance chamber 16 is connected to an intake passage 7 via a branch passage which is extended from the intake passage 7 connecting a pre-chamber 14 and a compressor of the supercharger S.
