Abstract

PURPOSE: To reduce friction by providing a means of a heating the lubricant oil supplied to a various parts of an engine, with exhaust gas, so as to heat said oil moderately during light and medium load.
CONSTITUTION: An exhaust duct 3 introducing a part of exhaust gas from an exhaust mantifold 2 of an engine 1 is connected to an oil heater 5 provided in lubricant oil within an oil pan 4. Further, an exhaust return pipe 6 connected to the oil heater 5 is also connected to the downstream of a control valve 7 as an exhaust flow controlling means installed on the exhaust manifold 2. The control valve 7 is driven by a diaphram type atuator 8, and intake negative pressure P of the engine is introduced into a negative pressure chamber 8a of the actuator 8 so that the opening of the control valve 7 is increased as said negative pressure P is decreased.
