Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain optimum air-fuel ratio by contolling auxiliary air amount to be supplied into intake manifold according to rod joint load at the beginning of decelation.
CONSTITUTION: The air-fuel controller is provided with the negative pressure response type opening and closing valve 6 and the negative pressure respense type flow rate control valve 17. The opening and closing valve 6 serves to introduce auxiliary air during the decelatio time. At the control valve 17, as the opening degree of the throttle valve 4 at the beginning of deceleration is greater, negative pressure to be applied into the negative pressure chamber 19 is smaller, while as the negative pressure inside the negative pressure chamber 19 is smaller, the diaphragm 18 is altered to the right side by the compression spring 21, whereby the area of flow path to be controlled by the sliding valve 27 is increased. Thus, as the operating condition to start the deceleration becomes higher load, the area of flow path to be controlled by the sliding valve 27 is greater and the amount of auxiliary air to be supplied into the intake manifold 2 through the air conduit 5 is increased.
