Abstract
PURPOSE: To maintain a pressure difference always at constant between places before and after the second throttle valve and obtain a high charging efficiency even when an engine is in a state of high speed and large load operation, by opening said throttle valve for said pressure difference becoming at least a prescribed value.
CONSTITUTION: A negative pressure is generated in an intake manifold 10 at the downstream from a throttle valve 12 of a carburetor and applied to a high pressure chamber 28 of a negative pressure control valve 23 through a conduction pipe 42. In a common link path 43 linked to an intake port 5d at the downstream from the second throttle valve 14, a negative pressure larger than that at the upstream side is produced and applied to a low pressure chamber 27 of the valve 23 through a conduction pipe 45. When a difference between the above said both negative pressures comes to be at least a prescribed value, a disphragm 26 is moved against the tension of a spring 33 to permit a valve unit 37 to close a link hole 39 simultaneously open an atmospheric hole 36. Consequently, the atmospheric air flows into a negative pressure chamber 20 of a throttle valve actuator 17 to rotate the second throttle valve 14 in the direction of an arrow mark A.
