Abstract
PURPOSE:To achieve a highly accurate measurement of distance by switching the surface to a flat mirror or a concave mirror to receive a reflected light from an object according to the range of distance and the accuracy with reflector provided rotatably in a structure of integrating the flat mirror and the concave mirror. CONSTITUTION:A spot light or a slit light is irradiated on an object along the optical path of the optical system in a TV camera 2 for obtaining pattern information thereof and reflected light from the object enters the TV camera 2 by way of reflectors 5 and 8 arranged on the optical axis and at a position separated from the optical axis. The distance to the object is measured from the direction and the value of diviation of a spot image or a slit image from the reference positions within the picture of the TV camera 2. The reflector 8 in which a flat mirror 6 and a concave mirror 7 are integrated is so arranged rotatably as to switch the surface to the flat mirror 6 and the concave mirror 7 to receive reflected light from the objective whereby the range and accuracy can be altered in measuring distance.
