Abstract
PURPOSE:To maintain the safety of sailing even at the time of stormy weather, by providing a trim rudder invertical type for the hull top at the quarter to keep a ship course safe even at stormy weather and so on, making the angle of a rudder variable at the inside of the horizontal surface to maintain the curse. CONSTITUTION:At the rear end of a funnel 1, the front end of a vertical rudder 2 to trim a wind is so installed to be free in swing motion. A rack 5 with a gear-cut upper face is set up on a deck 4 in circular form and at the lower side of the turning end of the rudder 2, are provided for engaging the rack 5. When the pinion 6 is rotated and moved along the rack 5, the angle of the rudder 2 can be varied at will. In addition, since the worm gear driving the pinion 6 is provided there, it becomes automatically closed whereby even when the rudder 2 receives high wind pressure, it can be fixed firmly at an optional position. In case of stormy weather, with the worm gear remote-controlled, the agnle of the rudder 2 is to be changed in accordance with a shift of wind and its velocity so that the course of a ship can be kept constant.
