Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable to perform an efficient and easy analysis, by a method wherein a brightness signal is generated, and said signal and a signal of a picture memory are changed over in a desired state to simultaneously indicate a scanning bright line and the rectional view by a flow-detector. CONSTITUTION:An ultrasonic sectional picture, formed in a picture memory 6, is read out as a television signal, and is indicated in a CRT monitor 7 through a picture signal-switching part 9. The picture signal-switching part 9 alternately switches a memory 6 or an output signal 81 from the brightness signal generating part 8. As a result, the ultrasonic sectional picture and a scanning bright line 10 of an acoustic wave, indicating the advancing direction of an ultrasonic wave in an object 2 to be measured, are simultaneously indicated. Thus, this permits the immediate judgement of the following; reflection waves F1 and F2 from a detect produced on a scope waveform correspond to which defective picture on the sectional picture. This constitution enables to perform an efficient and easy analysis.
