Abstract
PURPOSE: To attain real time display of an image the brightness of which is not varied with the scanning speed of a detecting contactor, by memorizing reflected waves at a high rate, and carrying out rewriting in a digital image memory in accordance with the locus of ultrasonic wave at the subsequent ultrasonic wave transmitting time.
CONSTITUTION: A detecting probe 1 is adapted to transmit ultrasonic waves to the inside of a sample 5 in accordance with a transmitting pulse 101a from an ultrasonic flaw detector 3. A reflected wave from the sample 5 is converted into an electric signal by the detecting contactor 1, and a conversion signal 101b is displayed on a flaw detector 3 and output at the same time as an ultrasonic echo signal 102 into an image processor 4. The echo signal 102 is memorized by a buffer memory 7 in the image processor 4. A microcomputer 11 is adapted to apply a control signal to a deflection circuit 8 through a data transfer control circuit 10, and generate an address signal equivalent to the progress of propagation of echo, signal thereof is memorized again in a digital image memory 9. Thus, variations in the brightness of an image to occur with the scanning speed of the detecting probe can be prevented.
