PURPOSE:To obtain a photoreceptor high in sensitivity and not causing deterioration of charging characteristics, etc., even when it is repeatedly used, by adding at least one of specified 3 kinds of hydrazone compounds to a charge transfer layer, and at least one of specified bisazo compounds to a charge generating layer. CONSTITUTION:A charge transfer layer contains one of hydrazone compounds represented by the formulaeI, II, and III in which R11, R12, R14, R15, R21, R22, R23, R24, R31, R32, R33 are each optionally substituted alkyl or aryl, R11 and R12, R23 and R24, R32 and R33 each may combine to form a nitrogen-containing hetero ring; R13, R16, R25, R26 are each H, halogen, optionally substituted alkyl or alkoxy or aryloxy, or the like; R17, R31 are each H or optionally substituted alkyl or aryl; R27 is a divalent organic residue; A is an optionally substituted heterocyclic group or the like; and n1, n2, n3 are each 0 or 1. A charge generating layer contains one of compounds represented by the formula IV in which A1, A2 is each a coupler residue; R41, R42 is each optionally substituted alkyl or aryl; R45 is H or optionally substituted alkyl, thus permitting a photoreceptor superior in sensitivity to be obtained.
