Abstract
PURPOSE:To produce not only low carbon steel, but also high carbon steel efficiently by accelerating slag making properties by blowing oxygen from above a steel bath by a swiveling lance, and stirring gas from below the steel bath. CONSTITUTION:A lance 2 swiveling as shown by an arrow blows oxygen 6 from above molten steel 4. At the same time, stirring gas is blown into the molten bath from tuy ere 3. In a swiveling lance method for upward blowing, when the rotational frequency of the lance 2 is regulated to >=15r.p.m., a decrease in decarbonization reation efficiency is great, but using the blowing of the stirring gas from the tuy ere 3 in combination eliminates the influence of the rotational frequency of the lance 2 upon decarbonization. For this purpose, the lance is rotated as fast as possible effectively for the production of slag and dephosphorization.
