Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve efficiency of refining reaction in a molten iron trough by blowing gas into molten iron and slag before separating and removing the produced molten slag from the molten iron at the time of pretreating the molten iron in the molten iron trough on casting bed of a blast furnace to again mix the molten slag and the molten iron. CONSTITUTION:A lance 4 for injection is vertically submerged into the molten iron 2 in the molten iron trough 1 and desiliconizing agent 12 is injected into the molten iron 2 from plural nozzles 4a at tip of the lance 4 with carrier gas. By this method, the slag 3 produced by desiliconized reaction is floated up on the molten iron 2 in the molten iron trough 1 partitioned with a dipped weir 6. Before separating and removing this slag 3 from the molten iron 2, after air-cooling the molten iron trough 1, high temp. air exhausting from a molten iron air cooling piping 5 is introduced to a gas blowing pipe 8 through pipe l1 and blown on the slag surface from tip thereof. By this method, the desiliconizing agent 12, which is not yet reacted in the desiliconized slag 3, is reacted by stirring and mixing with the molten iron 2, to promote desiliconizing treatment.
