Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve the hot water supplying efficiency of the titled device by a method wherein a constant temperature changeover valve is fixed to a hot water supply port provided in water passages to be heated by solar heat while the valve is located within a heat collecting casing so that the starting and stoppage of hot water supply are effected in response to the variation of the temperature of the hot water in the water passages. CONSTITUTION:A heat collecting plate 11 housed within the heat collecting casing 10 is provided with a plurality of rows of water passages arranged in the vertical direction and headers 13 and 13' are provided on both ends of the water passages. The header 13 is connected to a water supply system while the header 13' is connected to a hot water supply system through the hot water supply port 14. In this case, the constant temperature changeover valve 15 is fixed to the hot water supply port 14 while the valve is located in the heat collecting casing 12. The changeover valve 15 operates such that when the temperature of the water in the water passages 12 reaches a predetermined value, a piston 21 of the valve projects due to the expansion of a heat sensitive material 23 within a sealed vessel 22 so that a valve plate 24 is separated from a mouthpiece 25 to thereby start a hot water supply. Further, when the temperature of the hot water falls down to a predetermined value and so the heat sensitive material 23 contracts, the valve plate 24 is brought into contact with the mouthpiece 25 to thereby stop the hot water supply.
