Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent vaporization and deterioration of a heating medium, by connecting an enclosed expansion tank to a heating medium circulating circuit in which a heat collector, a heat exchanger and a circulating pump are connected in series, and effecting ON-OFF control of operation of the circulating pump by means of a differential temperature thermostat. CONSTITUTION:When the solar heat is available and the temperature of a heating medium in a heat collector 1 is higher than that of the heating medium in a heat exchanger 3, the value of resistance of a high-temperature sensor 16 becomes lower than that of a low-temperature sensor 17, whereby an output is produced from a differential temperture thermostat 15 for starting operation of a circulating pump 6. This causes circulation of the heating medium in a circulating passage 10, and heat is exchanged between the heating medium heated in the heat collector 1 and water in a heat accumulating tank 2 by means of the heat exchanger 3, so that the temperture of water in the tank 2 is raised. On the other hand, when the solar heat becomes unavailable and the temperature difference of the heating medium detected by the two sensors 16, 17 becomes zero, operation of the circulating pump 6 is stopped by the thermostat 15. In the above arrangement, expansion of the heating medium in the circulating passage 10 is absorbed by an enclosed type expansion tank 8 connected to the passage 10.
