Abstract

PURPOSE: To economically perform hot water supply by a combination of a heat pump apparatus with a solar energy utilizing system, wherein a hot water reservoir for hot water supply by a heat pump and a hot water reservoir for hot water supply by solar energy can be selectively switched- over in communication with a hot water supply tube in accordance with the hot water temperature of the latter reservoir.
CONSTITUTION: A solar energy collector 16 and a reservoir 15 are connected by a hot water circuit 17, while a heat pump apparatus 1 and a heat accumulating tank 5 for heating are connected by hot water circulating circuit 3. In an onward path of the hot water circulating circuit 3 is arranged a heat exchanger 11 for hot water supply and for heating by the heat pump to carry out heat exchange, and the heat exchanger 11 is connected by a hot water circuit 13 with a hot water reservoir 12 for hot water supply by the heat pump. The hot water in the hot water reservoirs 12, 15 are selectively passed to a hot water supply tube 24 through outlet pipes 22, 21 via a three-way valve 26. In this arrangement, the hot water temperature of the outlet pipe 21 is detected by a thermostat 27, and when the detected temperature is above a predetermined temperature, the three-way valve 26 is switched to make the outlet pipe 21 in communication with the hot water supply pipe 24, and when below the predetermined temperature, the three-way valve 26 is switched to make the outlet pipe 22 in communication with the hot water supply pipe 24.
