Abstract
PURPOSE: To collect heat at high efficiency by changing the circulation of hot water bwtween a collector and a regenerative tank according to changes in solar radiation, and keeping constant the difference between the hot water temperature at the outlet of the collector and that at the inlet.
CONSTITUTION: The outlet temperature B of a collector 1 rises with increasing solar radiation in the morning, and a circulation pump 5 starts operation when the difference between the outlet temperature B and the inlet temperature C has reached a set point. The opening of a valve 9 at this moment is vorresponding to the difference, and the circulation amount of hot water is relatively small. When the solar radiation A increases with time, heat collection by the collector 1 increases; the outlet temperature B rises; and the difference tends to increase. But the difference is kept constant because a temperature comparison/valve opening adjusting device 8 compares the hot water temperature detection signals from temperature sensors 6 and 7 fitted at the ends of the collector, and increases the opening of the valve 9 to increase the circulation amount E of hot water by the pump 5.
