Abstract
PURPOSE: To improve the efficiency of heat collection, the starting property of heat collection and its stability by forming a sectional area of a lower pipe of a heat collecting section of a heat pipe so as to become smaller than a sectional area of an upper pipe of the heat collecting section in a heat pipe type solar heat collector.
CONSTITUTION: A solar heat collector using a heat pipe is formed in such a manner that a heat collecting plate 1 and a hot water tank 2 are made up integrally, a heat collecting section 3 is located at the heat collecting plate 1 and a radiant section to a fluid 4 to be heated of the hot water tank 2 respectively and the heat pipe 6 is disposed. In this case, a metallic cone 9 is inserted into the heat collecting section 3 of the heat pipe 6 from a lower end of the heat pipe 6, and a sectional area S of the pipe, which functions as a thermal medium passage, of a lower section A of the heat collecting section 3 is made smaller than a sectional area S of the pipe of an upper section of the heat collecting section 3. Thus, the quantity of a thermal medium liquid of the lower section of the heat collecting section 3 is decreased, and effective functioning is obtained even when the quantity of radiated solar heat is little in its amount.
