Abstract
PURPOSE: To enable the water in a feed water pipe, the cold-water chamber in a hot-water storage tank and a heat collector to be simultaneously drained through the operation of a drainage stopcock, by connecting the feed water pipe leading to a solar water heater and the bottom of the heat collector together through a check valve and providing a drainage pipe to the feed water pipe so that water is made to flow from the heat collector side to only the feed water pipe side.
CONSTITUTION: The water fed from a feed water pipe 5 is entered into a cold-water chamber 3 partitioned from a hot-water chamber by means of a partition plate 2 and sent to a heat collectors 8, as cold water, through a cold-water pipe 7 provided at the bottom of said chamber. The hot water heated by means of said heat collector 8 is sent to a hot-water storage tank 1 through a hot-water pipe 9 and stored in the hot-water chamber 4. The hot water overflowing said partition wall 2 enters into the heat collector 8 again. When it has been filled with the hot water, a float valve 10 shuts off the feed water pipe 5. The lower sides of the heat collector 8 and the feed water pipe 5 are connected together by means of a check valve 13 so that only the flow from the heat collector 8 to the feed water pipe 5 is allowed. A drainage pipe 14 and a drainage stopcock 15 are provided in the further lower part of said feed water pipe 5.
