Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide an inexpensive device which is simple and does not require large space by installing a rotary cooling body which rotates at a high speed in an evacuated chamber and ejecting the molten metal in a melting furnace on the outside of said chamber through a nozzle by utilizing pressure differences. CONSTITUTION:A rotary cooling body 12 which rotates at a high speed is contained in an evacuated chamber 11 which is kept under a vacuum or reduced pressure and a melting furnace 13 is installed on the outside of the upper chamber 11. A nozzle 14 is provided via a sealant for vacuum 15 to the upper wall of the chamber 11, and the nozzle 14 communicates with the bottom of a melting crucible 16 of the furnace 13 and is opened right above the body 12. If a stopper 21 is pulled upward, the molten metal in the crucible 16 is injected onto the surface of the body 12 through the nozzle 14 by a pressure difference. It cools and solidifies quickly on said surface to form a thin metallic body.
