Abstract
PURPOSE:To eliminate a waveform distortion of an AC voltage and to remove ripple components of the voltage by charging and discharging the AC voltage in two capacitors through a triac, a thyristor or a rectifier and applying the synthesized voltage of the voltages to a load. CONSTITUTION:When a suitable control signal is applied to the gate 26G of a triac 26 in the case that the terminal 20a of an AC power source 20 is positive, a current from the power source 20 flows through a reactor 21, a capacitor 23 and a triac 26 to reach the terminal 20a. When a suitable control signal is applied to the gate 25G of a triac 25 in the case that the terminal 20b of the power source 20 is positive, the current from the power source 20 flows through the triac 25, a capacitor 22 and the reactor 21 to the terminal 20a. Accordingly, the voltages charged in the capacitors 22, 23 are synthesized and applied to a capacitor 28 and a load 29.
