Abstract

PURPOSE:To a highly effective power generation and at the same time avoid the fluctuation of voltage of the AC system during the generation of power, by conrolling the electric power sent to the AC system from an adverse converter in accordance with the capacity of power generation of a power generating unit. CONSTITUTION:The output of the synchronous power generator 1 that is driven by a windmill or the likd is converted into a DC by the rectifier 2 and the smoothing capacitor 3 and furthermore converted into An AC by the PWM adverse converter 4 using the GTO element to be connected to the AC system with the terminals R, S and T. The generator 1 receivers an automatic voltage control with a control of magnetic field current given by the magnetic field controlling circuits 6-12. The adverse conversion 4 is carried out by varying the on/off periods of the thyristor forming the converter 4 and also by modulating the output of the arithmetic circuit 21 to which the output voltage of the generator 1 in addition to the output AC voltage and the normal input of current or the like are supplied with the output of the triangular wave oscillator 22.
