Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain an economical AC voltage superposed DC high voltage generator by a method wherein an AC electric power source for superposition of AC voltage is used in common as the AC electric power source to be provided for generation of a DC voltage. CONSTITUTION:A capacitor 8 for superposition of AC voltage takes partial charge of the AC voltage by the inverse ratio of capacitance of a smoothing capacitor 3 and the capacitor 8 thereof for superposition of AC voltage when a rectifier 2 is not conducting, and the AC voltage is superposed on the DC voltage. Because magnitude of the AC voltage to be superposed on the DC voltage thereof can be controlled by changing the ratio of capacitance between the smoothing capacitor 3 and the capacitor 8 for superposition of AC voltage, magnitude of the AC voltage to be superposed on the DC voltage can be controlled simply by changing the value of the smoothing capacitor 3, or by changing the value of the capacitor 8 for superposition of the AC voltage, or by changing the value of the smoothing capacitor 3 and the capacitor 8 for superposition of the AC voltage at the same time.
