Abstract

PURPOSE: To make a constitution capable for the inverter as one set of device, by means of connecting in series the inverter, in substation, for regenerating a braking power from each of the vehicles, that are in motion on the same rail at power source voltages different from each other.
CONSTITUTION: A voltage of AC power source 1 is transformed into a prescribed voltage by a rectifying transformer 2, 3 being applied to a rectifier 4, 5. A different voltage is fed to a stringing 6 and 9 being supplied to each of vehicles 7, 10 through from a current collector. Inverters 11, 14 are connected in series with a connection made to transformers 12, 14 are connected in series with a connection made to transformers 12, 15. The transformers 12, 15 for inventer transform output voltages of the inverters 11, 14 respectively into prescribed levels applying the regenerated power to a load 13 or the transformer 2 for the rectifier.
