Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent the generation of circulating currents due to the variation of an AC power supply by taking a power supply as the setting reference of the DC output voltage of a power inverter from the AC power supply side in a power converter formed by connecting a power rectifier and the power inverter in antiparallel. CONSTITUTION:DC output in the case when an electric rolling stock 8 power- travels exists in a power rectifying region, and voltage is supplied through a power rectifier 6 from an AC system 1. When the electric rolling stock 8 regenerative- brakes, DC output rises, and power is regenerated by means of a power inverter 7. A reference power supply 12a obtained by smoothing the output of a power rectifier connected to the AC system 1 through a transformer 11 for meters is used as a power supply of a setter 13 of the DC voltage of the power inverter 7, the output of the setter 13 and the detecting value of a DC voltage detector 10 are compared by means of a comparison section 14 and the power inverter 7 is controlled, and circulating currents are not generated because the regulation of both DC voltage equalizes to the variation of an AC power supply.
