Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve the portability and to efficiently generate high density ozone by connecting the positive side of a high voltage transformer attached to the outside of a tightly sealed long cylindrical case to an electrode placed at a central part of the case and the negative side to a metallic band on the outside of an inner jacket tube.
CONSTITUTION: Dehumidified, dried and compressed air freed of unnecessary gases such as CO2 and nitrogen by adsorption is fed into a tightly sealed long cylindrical case 1 with pressure resistance from the inlet 1a. The air flows into the space between an outer jacket tube 5 and an inner jacket tube 3, and it is introduced downward through a porous metallic band 4 wound around the tube 3 under discharge. During this time, the air takes a roundabout way and forms a turbulent flow by the resistance of the band 4 to increase opportunities for discharge contact. After passing through the band 4 the air generates high density ozone O3 and is exhausted from the lower exhaust port 1b.
