Abstract

PURPOSE: The flow direction of raw material gas is controlled by partition installed in discharge space between opposite electrode faced through dielectric, whereby O3 generation efficiency in nonuniform dischage space arrangement is enhanced to an equal level in uniform space arrangement.
CONSTITUTION: A distorted, bad dimension discharge tube 4 is wound with spiral partition 15, which nearly contacts with a metal cylinder grounding electorde 2. Raw material gas is introduced from the inlet 10 and spirally flows through the discharge space between the partition 15. High partition pitch or denser winding causes more uniform gas flow throughout the discharge space, avoiding the reduction of O3 generation efficiency which otherwise occurs due to resident gas.
