Abstract

PURPOSE: To make an ozone injecting device compact by disposing an ozone generator and an ozone adsorption tower concentrically, and cooling the adsorbent of the ozone adsorption tower and the ozone generator simultaneously.
CONSTITUTION: An ozone generator 8 and an ozone adsorption tower 13a are disposed concentrically, and the gaseous oxygen in an oxygen cylinder 7 is conducted into the generator 8, where ozone is produced by the silent discharge and is adsorbed and accumulated on the adsorbent 13b in the tower 13a. On the other hand, the refrigerant from a refrigerator 14 is conducted through a pipe 9 into the tower 13a, is flowed upward on the outside circumference of the adsorbent, then downward in the inside circumference, after which it is returned to the refrigerator. Thereby, the increase in the adsorption capacity of the adsorbent and the removal of the heat generated by the silent discharge are accomplished. For desorption of ozone, the operation of the blower 6 is suspended, and the hot brine in a brine tank 15 is introduced into the tower 13a from its lower part by a pump 16, and is allowed to ascend in the chambers provided on the inside and outside circumferences of the adsorbent 13b. This brine is returned into the tank 15 through a pipe 18, and the ozone is sucked and desorbed by an ejector 25.
