Abstract
PURPOSE: To improve the grain size distributions in the vertical directions of raw material layers and the distribution of coke and to improve the quality and yield of sintered ore in the stage of sintering fine iron ore, by charging raw materials in dividing to two kinds with powdery coke alone and the mixed powdery coke with other raw materials onto a pallet.
CONSTITUTION: In a sintering machine for iron ore, a compounded raw material tank 11 mixed therein with a small amt. of coke and raw materials such as iron ore, limestone, or the like and a coke tank 12 are provided. Mixed raw materials 20 and coke 21 are quarried respectively from roll feeders 11R, 12R, and are charged as packed beds 22 onto a pallet 19 with a two stage charging chute 13 consisting of an upper chute 13- 1 and a lower chute 13-2. At this time, a separating plate 14 is disposed in the bottom end part of the chute 13, and the measured value of a layer thickness detector 15 and the set value of a target layer thickness setter 17 are compared and operated with an arithmetic device. According to the value thereof, both roll feeders 11-R, 12-R are regulated by a quarrying rate controller 18, whereby the quarrying rate of the raw materials in both tanks is controlled and the grain size distributions and coke distributions in the beds 22 are adequately controlled.
