Abstract

PURPOSE:To most suitably control particle size segregation and carbon segregation in a sintering stock layer by detecting respectively the height of grain stock loaded into a calcining pallet through a stripper and the height of all the stock and calculating the ratio of finely divided particle stock. CONSTITUTION:Sintering stock 10 is supplied by a drum feeder 11 from a hopper 9 through a stripper 4 provided having a fixed chute angle alpha in the progressive direction of the sintering pallet 2. In this stripper type stock loader 1, the grain stock 10b of the sintering stock 10 does not pass the stripper 4 and is loaded into the sintering pallet 2 through a lower plate 5. On one hand, finely divided particle stock 10a passes rods 6 of the stripper 4, falls on the above grain stock 10b through a deflector chute 7 and is loaded. The height of this grain stock 10b and the total height of the loaded stock are measured respectively by a supersonic level meters 12, 13 and further the ratio of finely divided particle stock 10a is calculated. According to this ratio, the particle size segregation and carbon segregation of the sintering stock layer are evaluated to adjust and control the control elements of the stock.
