Abstract

PURPOSE: To enhance the quality of sintered ore and its production rate by a method wherein lime stone in sintering raw material is placed little on the upper layer and much on the lower layer to improve heat balance.
CONSTITUTION: Coarse grain of bedding ore 4 is charged from a bedding-ore hopper 2 and a chute 3 and is placed on the bottom face 1 of a moving pallet. Lower-layer charging material 7 is placed in a specified thickness (h) on the bedding ore 4 by charging it from a charging hopper 5, drum feeder 6 and deflector plate 8. Likewise, upper-layer charging material 11 placed in a specified total thickness H by charging it from a charging hopper 9, drum feeder 10, and deflector plate 12. The thickness (h) of the lower material 7 is made 20W70% of the total layer thickness H. Also, the lime stone ratio CB in the lower charged material 7 is made 1.2W2.0 times the lime stone ratio CT of the upper charged material 11.
