Abstract

PURPOSE: To manufacture sintered ore with superior cold strength and superior product FeO in a high yield by forming starting materials for sintering into a thick layer, gradually reducing the blending ratio of coke breeze to a specified depth, making the blending ratio constant at the specified depth and above, and sintering the layer.
CONSTITUTION: Starting materials for sintering are formed into a thick layer having ≥700mm thickness, and the blending ratio of coke breeze is gradually reduced in layer parts from the uppermost layer part having 100mm depth from the layer surface to a layer part having 600W700mm depth from the layer surface. The difference in the blending ratio of coke breeze between the uppermost layer part and the 600W700mm layer part is adjusted to ≥1.2%. The layer parts having ≥700mm depth from the layer surface are made almost equal to the 600W700mm layer part in the blending ratio of coke breeze. The thick starting material layer contg. irregularly distributed coke breeze is charged onto the bed of a sintering machine and sintered.
