Abstract

PURPOSE:To mold the composite material pipe efficiently by a method wherein a laminate consisting of a reinforcing fiber fabric and a thermoplastic resin sheet is unwound from a core metal to be transferred to a cylindrical mold and the thermoplastic resin sheet is sujected to centrifugal molding while melted by heating. CONSTITUTION:A laminate 4 consisting of a reinforcing fiber fabric 1 and a thermosetting resin sheet 2 is wound around core metal 5 and transferred to the inner peripheral surface of a cylindrical mold 6 while unwound from the core metal 5 so as to face the reinforcing fiber fabric 1 to an outer side. In this condition, the laminate 4 is subjected to sentrifugal molding while heated to melt the thermoplastic resin sheet 2 and cooled. The molten resin has extremely high viscosity and impregnation and defoaming are carried out efficiently and certainly.
