Abstract

PURPOSE: To produce a fibre reinforced plastic tube having a uniform thickness, by molding a tubular object after winding a fibre reinforced plastic resin around a tapered former, and afterwards, by moving the tubular object toward a large diameter side of the former along the taper.
CONSTITUTION: A fibre reinforced plastic tubular object 2 is wound around a tapered former 1. When said work is solidified by heating, a gap 3 is provided between the former 1 and the tubular object 2 resulting from the expansion of the former and shrinkage due to solidifying of the plastic resin. In order to avoid the gap 3, a mechanical surface processing is performed in such a manner as moves the tubular object 2 toward a large diameter side (side A) of the former 1.
