Abstract
PURPOSE:To exactly recognize a CPU subsystem, by providing a system information storage part for storing each self-subsystem discriminating information of the CPU sybsystem, and sending out as a response the contents of said storage part from the CPU connected by a connecting device. CONSTITUTION:A response system of each host system 1, 2 is constituted by providing plural CPU systems N1, 01, N2 and 02, and circuit switching devices 6, 7 for connecting one of these systems N1, 01, N2 and 02 to a circuit 5. On each CPU system 9, 14, 19 and 24 of these systems N1, 01, N2 and 02, system information storage parts 12, 17, 22 and 27 for storing the self-subsystem information, inquiry processing function parts 10, 15, 20 and 25, and response processing parts 11, 16, 21 and 26 are provided, respectively. In this state, when an inquiry regarding the connection is executed to the host systems 1, 2 through the circuit 5, the systems 9, 14, 19 and 24 connected by the devices 6, 7 send out as a response the contents of the storage parts 12, 17, 22 and 27, and the subsystem is recognized easily.
