Abstract
PURPOSE:To produce cast products having no gaseous defects in surface layer parts by sucking and discharging the mold gases produced during casting forcibly. CONSTITUTION:In the stage of casting, mold gases are produced when molten metal is charged through runners 3 into a mold 1 or when a core 2 and the mold 1 burn after the charging. At this time, an opening and closing cover 10 is closed and the mold gases are sucked with a gas suction pump 7 and are discharged to the outside of the mold 1. Hence, the mold gases are surely removed, and the cast products having no gaseous defects in the surface layer parts are produced.
