Abstract
PURPOSE:To preferably remove ash without abruptly inclining a hopper forming a boiler furnace bottom by injecting gas along the oblique surface forming the hopper from above the hopper. CONSTITUTION:Ash is molten by a furnace 1, is flowed down along a hopper 3, is flowed into an ash hopper 4, and is cooled. Then, the ash is exhausted externally. A gas port 5 is formed at the connecting part of a side wall forming the furnace 1 to the hopper 3, combustion gas exhausted from a boiler body 10 is blown along the oblique surface of the hopper 3 as recirculation exhaust gas G, and ash 12 adhered onto the oblique surface is accelerated to be flowed down. In this manner, the adherence of the ash to the hopper 3 can be effectively prevented, and the inclining angle of the hopper 3 is reduced, thereby reducing the size and weight of the entire boiler.
