Abstract

PURPOSE: To conserve thermal energy for generating a high temp. gas necessary for regeneration by using thermal energy possessed by the high temp. and high pressure gas emitted from a compressing blower means such as a compressor or the like in regenerating a drying agent.
CONSTITUTION: A part of the high temp. and high pressure gas emitted from a compressor A is cooled in an after-cooler 2 and stored in a first header 7 through an ejector 5 and the remainder of the high temp. and high pressure gas is stored in a second header 24. Three-way valves 9, 20 are manipulated to bring pipes 8, 12, 19, 21 to an openeing condition and the cooled high pressure gas in the first header 7 is passed through a dryer to remove moisture therein and stored in a second drying gas gathering header 22. After this treatment of the gas, pipes 10, 12, 19, 23 are opened and the drying agent in the dryer 13 is heated and regenerated by the high temp. and high pressure gas in the second header 24 and the used gas is collected in a first gathering header 11 and, after moisture therein is condensed in a cooler 14 and a drain separator 16, sent to the header 7. Next to this treatment, a pipe 21 is opened and the drying agent is cooled by a drying gas in the gathering header 22.
