Abstract

PURPOSE: To remove low-boiling components economically, safely, and at high efficiency, by condensing and removing the low-boiling components contained in air by circulating the air contg. low-boiling components through a closed chamber and a condenser, then by adsorbing and removing the low-boiling components by subjecting the air having been liberated from major portion of the low-boiling components to an adsorbing process using activated carbon.
CONSTITUTION: Air contg. low-boiling components is circulated through a closed chamber 1 and a condenser 2 with valves 32, 38, and 30 opened and a blower 4 operated so as to condense the low-boiling components, which is accumulated in the condenser 2. After a prescribed time measured by a timer, valves 30, 38 are closed and valves 31, 35, 37, 41 are opened automatically or manually, and outside air is led through a line 12 and is passed through the closed chamber 1, so that the air contg. low-boiling components is introduced to an adsorption chamber 3 packed with activated carbon, where the air is liberated from the low-boiling components and discharged through a line 23. After a prescribed time, air contg. low-boiling components is circulated through the condenser 2 and the adsorption chamber while a heating pipe 44 being operated in order to heat and regenerate the activated carbon, and the desorbed low-boiling components are condensed in the condenser 2 and recovered through a recovering opening 9. Then outside air is introduced through a valve 39, the condenser 2 to the absorption chamber 3 in order to cool the activated carbon. These operations are repeated
