Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent the degradation of characteristic due to heat at the time of chip bonding by coating the surface of a gold electrode, which is formed on the lower surface of a semiconductor and contains an ohmic property accelerating substance for a silver film. CONSTITUTION:The gold electrode 7 is formed on the lower surface of a semiconductor substrate 2. A very small amount of antimony is contained in the gold electrode 7 as the substance accelerating ohmic property for the semiconductor substrate 2. The antimony is formed at the same time when the gold electrode 7 is formed through evaporation. The silver film 8 is formed on the lower section of the gold electrode 7. The silver film 8 prevents the oxidation of antimony in case of the chip bonding. The film is fixed to the wiring layer mounting section 11 of a ceramic substrate 10 through a silver paste layer 9.
