Abstract
PURPOSE:To easily perform starting operation of a diaphragm valve carburetor, by equipping a starting fuel pump, generating air pressure with manually depressing operation, pumping up fuel through only operation of said pump and performing air bleed operation in the carburetor. CONSTITUTION:At starting operation, a starting fuel pump 33 is lifted, then air in a pump chamber 38 is pressurized and fed to air chamber 22, 36, and a main diaphragm 11 and starting diaphragm 34 are operated. If a lifting finger is released from the pump 33, the pump 33 is reset to the former condition by a spring 41, and the starting diaphragm 34 is also reset to open a suction valve 35, then fuel is sucked from a fuel tank, not shown, and fed to a diaphragm chamber 37. If the pump 33 is again lifted, the starting diaphragm 34 is similarly operated to open a suction valve 27 and feed valve 28, and the fuel reaches a main diaphragm chamber 23, and then is introduced to a carburetor A.
