Abstract

PURPOSE: To supply a carburetor with fuel containing little vapor and perform smooth operation of engine, by providing a communication chamber on the upper end of a partition wall dividing a fuel chamber and a vapor separator chamber from each other and by connecting the fuel chamber and the vapor separator chamber to each other through the communication chamber.
CONSTITUTION: Fuel is introduced from a fuel tank into a suction chamber 4 of a fuel pump by the action of a diphragm 8 driven by a spring 9 and a rod 10. Then, the fuel flows into a pump chamber 11 through a check valve 12 and thereafter enters into a fuel chamber 5a through another check valve 13. Then, the fuel is supplied from an outlet port 14 to the carburetor. A part and vapor of the fuel flow from the fuel chamber 5a into the vapor separator chamber 5b through an opening 18 between a gasket 16 and the partition wall 7 dividing the fuel chamber ta from the vapor separator chamber 15 and is then returned to the fuel tank through a return port 15. Namely, the fuel containing little vapor is supplied to the carburetor.
