Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve startability of an engine, by interposing a starting fuel pump in a fuel float chamber of a carburetor and feeding starting fuel directly into an intake path when the engine is started. CONSTITUTION:When an engine is started, an operating rod 27 is pressed downward. Then a control valve 22 is moved downward to pressurize a fuel pump chamber 14, and pressurized fuel is injected into an intake path 2 through a check valve 17 and delivery pipe 18. Then a check valve 25 is adapted to an opening lever 29 to open a fuel passage part 26, and fuel is sucked from the passage part 26 by negative pressure, applied to a passage part 24 through a mixture passage 21, and mixed with air from an air passage 20 to form a mixture, then sucked to the intake path 2 through the passage 21. This mixture is added with the previously injected fuel, and a rich mixture, optimum for starting, can be fed to the engine.
