Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve startability of an engine, by detouring a carburetor throttle valve through a bypass passage, providing a control valve and fuel nozzle in the bypass passage, forming a combustion chamber to the bypass passage in the downstream of the control valve, providing a heating unit in said combustion chamber, generating an inflammable mixture in said combustion chamber and feeding this mixture to the engine. CONSTITUTION:At cold start operation of an engine, firstly a control lever 28 is pulled and then released to give shuttling motion to a diaphragm 29 in a fuel pump 26 and inject fuel in a pump chamber 30 into a combustion chamber 14 through a fuel passage 25. Secondly a switch 20 is turned ON to heat a heating unit 19 and perform combustion of the injected fuel. Under this condition, a control valve 9 is lifted to open a bypass passage 6 and fuel nozzle 8, further an air valve 23 is also opened in an interlocking state, and cranking operation of the engine is performed. Then sucked air to the bypass passage 6 causes negative pressure, and fuel in a float chamber 4 is sucked from the nozzle 8 by action of the negative pressure to flow into the combustion chamber 14, and here generated inflammable mixture is fed to the engine E through an intake pipe Ea.
