Abstract

PURPOSE: To automatically preset optimum condition of combustion, by detecting the proportion of composition in mixed fuel, presetting the optimum mixing ratio of air obtained from said proportion of composition previously in a computer and controlling a supply amount of fuel and air.
CONSTITUTION: Fuel 13 lifted by a fuel pump 12 from a fuel tank 11 is jetted to an internal combustion engine 16 with air through an injector 15 from a fuel pressure regulator 14. Further between the fuel pressure regulator 14 and the injector 15, is equipped a fuel composition detector 17 for detecting the proportion of composition in gasoline and alcohol in the fuel 13, and this detected signal is transmitted to a computer 18. The computer 18 controls an injection amount of the fuel 13 by said detected signal in such a manner that the previously set logical air-fuel ratio is obtained in accordance with the mixing proportion of alcohol with respect to gasoline, thus the mixing ratio can be set to the optimum condition.
