Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve combustibility of alcohol fuel internal combustion engine by making control of the air bleed quantity in response to the density of fuel although alcohol mixture of arbitrary density may be applied.
CONSTITUTION: Mixture fuel of alcohol and gasoline is fed to main fuel passage 5a and slow fuel passage 10 of the carburetor from a float chamber 3. A common solenoid valve 22 is arranged in main and slow air bleed passages 16, 17, through orifices 18, 19. A sensor 24, which detects the density of alcohol, is installed in the exhaust system, not shown in the drawing, and the solenoid valve 22 is controlled by feeding back from the control circuit 23 which receives the alcohol density signal from the sensor 24.
